The FortiManager 200G manages up to 30 devices and VDOMs with a sustained log rate of 50 logs/sec and 2 GB/day of log throughput. Policy packages, provisioning templates, firmware rollout and a full change-approval workflow with revision history and rollback.
Thirty devices and VDOMs. That limit is reached faster than it reads, a dozen firewalls each running two or three VDOMs consumes it, so count both before choosing this model. It suits an organisation that has just crossed the threshold where making the same policy change by hand on every firewall stopped being reasonable, typically somewhere between five and fifteen sites.
How to work out whether it fits
The arithmetic a datasheet leaves out. If any of it does not match your situation, that is worth a call rather than a guess.
Count devices and VDOMs together, because the limit does. Fifteen firewalls each running two VDOMs is 45, already past this model. Do that arithmetic against your three-year plan rather than today's estate, FortiManager is bought once and lived with, and the migration to a larger unit is a config export and re-import that nobody enjoys scheduling.
